- Do not take a lot of time to get up after a massage session; there could be other customers waiting for their turn and any delay will ruin their appointments time.
- Do not go for a massage session with very long toenails; these can scratch the massage therapist making it impossible for him to concentrate on the massage. Long toenails will also scratch the sheet you are lying on which is not very pleasant.
- On the day of your appointment, do not use a strong perfume; a massage room is quite small and strong smell will suffocate the air in the room making it quite difficult for the massage therapist to concentrate. The strong perfume might also affect the next client who may be sensitive to strong chemical scents.
- Keep your skin moisturized so that the massage therapist will not spend a lot of time trying to moisturize it. A massage is not meant to moisturize but to work on tensed muscles and you should make this easy by keeping your skin moisturized.
- Ensure that you use the washroom before the appointment time; do not wait until your turn comes and then start asking where the washrooms are. This will amount to wastage of time and will eat up part of the time the massage therapist would have spent massaging you.
- Get treated for any skin infection before going for a massage session; it will make a massage therapist very uncomfortable if he notices some fungal infections on your skin in the course of the massage and he may end up skipping those areas.
- Avoid taking foods with a strong smell before you go for the massage. It will make the massage therapist quite uncomfortable; if possible, stay away from such foods for a few days before going for a massage session.
