Aromatherapy is a treatment that consists of using different aromas for healing pain and reducing stress. These aromas come from the oil of different flowers. Aromatherapy is a millenary tradition; Egyptians, Chinese, Romans, and even Greeks used this therapy in religious ceremonies. Nowadays, aromatherapy has been combined with Swedish deep tissue massage to create aromatherapy massage.
During an aromatherapy massage, different oils are applied to the body. Every oil has a quality to it. For example, neroli oil helps to relieve blood pressure and stress. Rosemary oil helps with the flexibility and motion, lavender is used to diminish anxiety, and eucalyptus is great for decongesting. There are over 400 different types of oils, but therapists only use 40. These oils are mixed with a carrier oil such as sweet almond, apricot kernel, or grapeseed oil. Massagers need to do this because the oils are extremely powerful if they’re not mixed with a carrier oil they can cause secondary reactions. This massage can last from 15 to 90 minutes.

Then he will ask you to undress and he or she will leave the room. After this, you’ll have to lie face down. Depending on your requests, the therapist will massage an area of the body. Then this person will ask you to lie face up to massage the front of your body. Some massagers ask you questions about your life to relax you even more. Additionally, the scents of the oils will fill the room. You’ll feel calmer and stress-free.
Pregnant women can beneficiate a lot from this treatment. Any massager must take into consideration your health history before doing this treatment. If you’re allergic to strong smells don’t try this massage.
